NOVIKI is an artistic and research duo founded by Marcin Nowicki and Katarzyna Nestorowicz, operating at the intersection of art, technology, and design. Our practice investigates the ongoing transformation of visual culture and the emerging aesthetics produced through the interplay of language, digital tools and algorithmic systems. We approach design as both a critical and epistemological method, while treating publications, exhibitions, and editorial processes as forms of artistic research.
We are the initiators of research-oriented think tanks such as Future Fragments, which foster dialogue between artistic practice, critical theory, and technological development. FF projects occupy the space between visual experimentation and critical inquiry into culture in a state of continuous transformation, exploring how contemporary technologies not only generate images and narratives but also reshape the conditions of perception, cognition, and meaning-making.
Our portfolio includes projects for galleries, cultural institutions, exhibitions, and digital platforms, reflecting a strong focus on contemporary aesthetics and innovative problem-solving.
Recent commissions include works with BMW, Het Nieuwe Instituut (Rotterdam), SPACE-GOV, Gunia Nowik Gallery & TRACTS: international science & technology research network.
